Assassination Classroom

One word to describe this series. It's crazy!!!

I mean right off the bat you'd be like WTF?!! And I've seen my share of weird anime. The concept of the series is that a extraordinary creature named Koro, a name given to him by his students. Who long ago destroyed a moon and then declared that he'd do the same to the earth unless he gets killed. And the ones he request to do him in are the students of Class-E

Class-E is the students whom are...academically challenged and those who haven't reached the same achievements as the regular classes have are sent to that class. And the shit that this class gets dealt with by the other classmates is brutal.

Anyways if any of the students manage to kill Koro then they're awarded a billion dollars, thats right. And the kicker is that he's going to teach the students how to kill him while also teaching them to progress and become just as good as the other classes. A regular save the students scenario.

The main characters in question

Color me surprised to see an shounen anime featuring a female protagonist and a surprisingly likable one at that. Not an idiot hero nor a tsundere and I'm happy to see the little lady not being reduced to nothing but fanservice but she's underaged so yeah. Then again it never stopped Eiken....Memories*shudders*

There are other characters that i find intriguing but Nagisa also has some interesting traits and she can be quite the badass. I like that she's gradually being developed as the strategist and pretty much the leader of the class.

The quintessential bad boy of the series and what makes this one different is he actually backs up the moniker. What I like about this guy is that despite him being a bad boy he has traits that I find likable, him being a bully hunter is a plus. He's also bffs with the main heroine Nagisa and they have a believable friendship judging from the chemistry. With a character like this he deserves his own theme.

Nagisa's close bff and the one who came up with Koro's name. Other than that she hasn't stood out much as the other students as she's mostly in the background but she brings a refreshing presence as she isn't the typical Shounen Tsundere.

Assassination Classroom is a series that is a little different when compared to my usual animes but its really entertaining as it manages to be unpredictable. For instance I once thought Koro is the villain but by nine episodes in I'm not so sure. And I like a series that is unexpected and keeps you tuned in.

Assassination Classroom is a series I'd highly recommend.

Don't Let PC Censor Your Creativity

Going to get something that is off my chest here. I think today's world is easily offended over every little thing. They cant even enjoy a movie or tv show without being offended over something that isn't worth being offended by.

Sometimes I would rant and rave about the lack of creativity done in Hollywood. But the more I think about it the more I start to look at the other side of the coin. Hollywood is still lazy when it comes to creativity but most of the time it can be hard to do anything creative without offending anyone who has thin skin. Then you go and limit yourself cause you're so afraid that you would hurt someone's feelings.

If there is anything I've learned, not just in writing but in life, its that you cant please everybody. And you shouldn't be concerned about trying to please those who are just going to drag you into the dirt. I'm not advising writers to intentionally look at offending but I'm advising that if you have a story to tell then tell it. If it pushes the envelope then so be it. But at the end of the day its your story. If some people cant appreciate that then don't sweat it. You're in control of how you tell your story

Star Wars Episode VIII: Where Should They Go

The hype machine of The Force Awakens is still strong, hell there is even debate on if The Force Awakens should be an oscar contender. Eh when it concerns that. No matter what one thinks about The Force Awakens you cant deny that it did left one anticipating the second part of the trilogy.

So where should episode 8 go? Well I have some ideas.

I like to see Episode 8 ending with The New Empire winning. Maybe with Kylo or whatever new villain that pops up, heard Episode 8 could get a new villain, defeating Rey. And in the spirit of the other trilogies have her either lose a limb or be horribly disfigured. Otherwise its sending a wrong message to action heroines. Yeah they're allowed to fight alongside the men but heaven forbid they lose their good looks! Her loss in the rematch should be brutal and devastating.

Be Its Own Thing

I want episode 8 to establish its own new take of the new trilogy instead of rehashing Empire Strikes Back. If they want to prove the doubters that they can do new stuff then take the next movie into a bold new direction.

More Captain Phasma

She's the leader of the Storm Troopers and the fans needs a reason for that. Have her be a badass instead of putting her in the background.

Give Rey Flaws

By flaws I mean have her work for wins. I like a good action heroine as much as the next guy but not when they're cutting through everything without breaking a sweat. Personally I didn't feel she was as bad as people say. If you thought Abrams was bad can you imagine what we'd get if say Whedon directed a Star Wars movie? Kylo Ren would have been a bigger joke than before and Rey would be the one training Luke Skywalker instead of the other way around. Be glad Whedon isn't doing this people

Luke Kicking Ass

Nuff said.

I'd like to see more of the villains. Maybe more interactions as I find the New Empire a little interesting. I also want to see a more colder and battle ready Kylo Ren

Most Anticipated Movies of 2016

With 2015 over and done now comes 2016 and boy does 2016 have alot of movies I'm looking forward to! Much like last year I'm going to discuss the movies in 2016 I anticipate the most. So lets get to it.

The marketing behind this film has been spectacular. I just hope the movie itself delivers on the hype and I believe it just might. Cause if it succeeds then that just mean more R-Rated superhero films. And most importantly it would mean Deadpool is THE GUY to replace Wolverine once Jackman retires the character.

Oh based on the trailers Fox is most definitely looking at Deadpool to be the new Fox Marvel mascot.

If this movie pushes the envelope more than other comic films have been doing then becomes successful then hopefully it would mean more edgy comic films like Deadpool.

I've had my share of grievances of hero vs hero I'm looking forward to it for one reason. The Russos, the duo responsible for Winter Soldier, are back baby! Personally the best way to make sense of this movie is just look at it as an sequel to Winter Soldier. So watch Winter Soldier while ignore the rest that followed. Well you could watch Ant-Man if you like. Hopefully this puts Phase 3 in a solid direction.

Remember when everyone, including myself, had a ball making fun of Apocalypse for being an Ivan Ooze knock-off? Now people stopped laughing after seeing the trailer. Also it kinda looks like Fox's way of saying to Disney"Ultron was a joke, we can do better!!!"

Between this and Deadpool hopefully this means Fox is in the right direction with their movies.

I am in no way a fan of Warcraft. I have never played the games. However I am a fan of fantasy and judging from the trailer alone it gives me an old school fantasy movie feel. Yeah one can say the movie is pulling an Avatar meets Dances With Wolves yet at the same time its playing up on the classic fantasy elements and when was the last time we have had a good fantasy movie? That isn't an adaptation of Lord of The Rings or adapted off of a novel?

Much like with Deadpool I hope that the success of this movie spawns more fantasy films. Hopefully original ones.

For the same reasons as Deadpool. The movie is different from your usual comic movies and because of that it provides a sense of unpredictability that leaves me curious about the film. And I like a movie where I go in unsure where the movie is going to go and Suicide Squad is one of those movies I'm not sure where it's going to go.

Is it just me or is this kinda what I'd want a live action version of Frozen to be? Charlize Theron corrupts Elsa to give the world eternal winter so The Huntsman is task to save the world by either saving Elsa or having to pull an Old Yeller on her to save the world. Yeah its not exactly the plot but thats a live action Frozen film I wouldn't mind seeing!

Let me lick your tears haters! This movie actually looks pretty fun and say what you want about Bay but at least his adaptations aren't rehashing from an old arc from a comic book. Also...Casey Jones and Bebob and Rocksteady!!!

Age of Extinction I felt was an improvement over the other crap. Kudos in bringing in Marky Mark to replace Shia. What I'd hope to see in this is maybe two subplots. One would be perhaps Bumblebee's rise as a potential leader of the Transformers and two Optimus kicking ass in outer space. But pleeease keep Optimus crazy. This version is more entertaining when he's crazy.

Top 3 Disappointing Movies of 2015

A little late but behind every good movie that came out of 2015 there were some bad ones or as I'd say movies that had hope of being good yet ended up being a disappointment in the end. These are those movies.

3:

Its like that upcoming sequel to Toy Story. Its a sequel that shouldn't be made yet because of the almighty $$$ we are getting it anyways. One would just hope they'd try and make a good movie out of it. I was wrong.

Awhile back I kinda compared the Taken series to Die Hard and my comparisons are correct. Taken 3 was the Die Hard 5. It took everything that made Liam Neeson cool and badass and turn him into a bland and forgettable action hero.

You know I should have seen the stink coming when the trailers gave away Jean Grey getting Fridged. Where is Hugh Jackman and his time traveling powers when you need him?

2:

Like the number one pick its the movie where the trailer is more entertaining than the movie itself. That teaser from Spectre was pretty suspenseful. Yet oddly enough when I walked into the theater I had a bad feeling. And that isn't the feeling I should get from a movie that came off of the awesomeness that was Skyfall.

Spectre was a movie that was trying to be something else other than a Bond movie and it wasted the talent of Christopher Waltz in the process. Hell it wasted the talent of just about everybody involved and it was the one Bond film that just make me want to countdown the moment when I'd get a new James Bond. And I happen to like what Craig is doing with the character but honestly Spectre is a sign that he's losing steam.

1:

Like Fury Road there is no surprise this made it to the tippy top. Now I loooooved the first Avengers movie. It was everything I wanted in a superhero movie and more. I looooved Winter Soldier. So when Age of Ultron was going to follow up Winter Soldier I had my fingers crossed that it could be the light I needed to brighten the dark disappointment that was Phase 2. I was unfortunately wrong.

And the problem is I really don't know who to blame on this. One could say Whedon but I've seen the first Avengers movie and he's better than this. I could say the execs behind the scenes. Whomever was responsible for the disappointment that was Age of Ultron I must say...Bravo. You turned what could have been a memorable villain into a complete joke! And you happen to make the whole Avengers roster, sans Vision, unlikable in the process.

Honestly this movie is the one movie in the MCU that made me hate the MCU and to those who'd find some enjoyment out of it. Good for you.

Hell it made me strongly consider taking a hiatus from the MCU for awhile.

At least I'd have Ant-Man to be the movie to leave the MCU on some kind of good note.
